A Blog for Louise & Simon

As soon as I met Louise, Simon and their little boy Jake, we hit it off.
I remember chatting frankly about the Wedding plans with them whilst Jake crawled around my chair and cheekily tickled my feet.

Shooting forward in time to their Engagement Shoot session, Jake was now toddling around and seemed to have grown loads.  As with most of my Wedding clients who already have children, they'd elected to use their engagement session to get some nice family pictures, as well as work on their posing.  I was thrilled to see happy tears from both Louise and her Mam at the viewing appointment a week later.

Heading over to Prudhoe on Saturday 7th September, I arrived at Simon and Louise's house where the boys were in the midst of getting ready.  Having dealt with cakes and venue issues first thing, poor Simon was already a little stressed out.  I tried to lighten the mood by getting some fun shots out in the garden...

Then I headed on over to Louise's Mam's house.  I got there just before the girls had come back from the salon where they were getting their hair done.  Grandparents and family were all there to send Louise off, and I loved being part of the special preparations in getting the bride ready to be married.

Once all had arrived at the Marriott, Metrocentre - Louise and Simon were ready to say their vows.

Every one of the couples guests were ready to have a photograph taken at the champagne reception straight after the ceremony.  Look how camera-perfect they all were....

Louise's sister and the couples closest friends had made a beautiful memory book of Louise and Simon as children, and their lives together so far.  They'd even remembered to leave some blank pages for the couple to start scrapbooking the beginning of their marriage.  Needless to say, a few tears were shed when looking over this lovely gift.

After dinner we all took advantage of the sunshine and headed outside for some more shots of the whole wedding party.

Louise, Simon & Jake are now off on their honeymoon.  I hope you all have a wonderful time there, and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it on your return.

Love, Laura

A Blog To Thomas & Vikki

I first met Vikki when I started Astley High School in 1995.  We were friends right through school and then lost touch near the end of 6th form.

Years later we met back up to have a catch up, and have stayed in touch ever since.

Vikki could never find her Mr Right.  I was always hearing her stories about odd men she dated or people she had her eye on - that just wouldn't have worked! Then she met Thomas.  What a whirlwind it was!
I met him last winter, and in a few weeks after I'd given her my friend's nod of approval, I was being invited along to the Wedding.  Thomas' family is based near Blackpool, and this will be where Vikki and he plan to settle down.

I followed in the 'geordie side's' pilgrimage over the country to partake in the celebrations....

Following a great catch up meal the evening before Saturday 31st August, I headed on over to Thomas' parents'.
Thomas and his brother Paul getting ready and showing me around the house.  An after-party was planned here for later on that day.

The guys kicking back in the Gazebo.

Thomas had pulled a 'Damien Hirst' on his mum's garden sign.

From one location of calm preparations, I headed back on over to The Shard Hotel into another location of calm preparations.

Vanessa, Vikki's little sister did Hair and Make Up for all the girls, and she had arranged especially with the chef to meet super early to get her breakfast before hand.

Along with all of the beautification, she had a little surprise up her sleeve to present Vikki with.  Thomas had sent over a Pandora charm for Vikki as a little pre-wedding gift to wear for the rest of the day.

With time of the essence, last parts of preparations with Vikki getting her dress on ready to head to The Registry Office.

Time for a quick shot before getting the show on the road!

Lovebirds having a little nervous giggle before their "I Do's".

This Windmill at Twelve Restaurant was simply perfect for all of the family photographs.

Post dinner speeches proved funny and emotional.  The best mix for any round of Wedding Speeches.

We just had time for some end of the day pictures of the Newlywed couple before the party got started.

Vikki and Thomas are on their honeymoon now, so it is with a huge smile I wish them a Happy Honeymoon, and another Congratulations.
Looking forward to showing you both the rest of the work we created when you get back.

Love,
Laura X

Corporate Floristry

To help Emma capture her floral displays for more corporate clients, we set about a day of guerrilla street photography.

We first hit Newcastle Business Village

We then went to a number of places on Forth Street:

Deli Central on Forth Street                                         forthstreetbarbershop.co.uk

We also went to shoot at a 'well known' sushi place, who got a bit narked at the creativity we were bringing to them.

To finish the day we enjoyed a coffee by Greys monument where many passers by complimented Emma on her excellent modern floral displays.
